school-wide EXHIBITIONS
I organized this annual, family-centered event that showcased an artwork and artist statement from every student. The event included photo-booths, hands-on art making activities, and scavenger hunts.
art club
Each year, members of my Art Club created a permanent artwork for the school building. The tree mural was a memorial to a beloved teacher who had passed that year. The lake mural celebrated the community and natural beauty surrounding the school.
up-cycled art collaboration
I facilitated a collaboration between University of Memphis Architecture students and FES students in which they created a giant tree sculpture made out of nothing but up-cycled materials. The sculpture was displayed at a ceremony at a local park.

national ornamental metal museum
I brought visiting artists from the National Ornamental Metal Museum to Coro Lake Elementary, where they conducted workshops with the students. We then took a field trip to the museum, where students watched metal smiths turn their creations into a permanent artwork for the school building.
paul revere williams project
As Contributing Editor on the Paul Revere Williams Project, I helped develop a K-12 curriculum guide to accompany an exhibition of the architect's work, displayed at the Art Museum of the University of Memphis (AMUM). I taught a lesson from the guide in my own classroom in which students redesigned our school's built environment, and my students' architectural models were put on display along with the exhibition.
carpenter art garden
I was honored to be invited by the Carpenter Art Garden, an art-centered community outreach organization, to be a visiting artist. I conducted a 3-day collage workshop with local children during their after-school program.
